Jordan’s 5!
Jordan decided to go bowling for his party. We all had fun. Jordan, Taylor, Brennan, Bryanna, Riley and Cadence. Pizza, bowling, cake and presents … pretty good day.
Jordan got a Chiefs football jersey, an Arkansas basketball jersey, roller skates, some wristwatch walkie-talkies, some transformers, an Imagination Movers CD, the movie Space Buddies and a Dodgetag set with velcro vests you wear and balls you throw at each other … just what we need!
A Tale of 2 “Punkins”
Boys only camp out
… backyard style! It actually went fairly well. I thought it was going to get called off around 9:30 b/c Taylor said all the noises were starting to scare him (crickets, dogs, trucks, partying neighbors, etc), but he dug deep and made it through.
We all actually started off right next to each other b/c it started getting cold – by morning, Taylor had wiggled him and his sleeping bag all the way to the furthest-most corner, and Jordan … well, Jordan didn’t sleep much; which means I didn’t sleep much either. He was rolling around, sitting up, talking to himself in his “sleep,” and not much sleep happened for any of us.
Morning came early … 5:30 kind of early. Both boys jumped up and had to pee, then there was no chance of getting back to rest. 9:00 felt like noon to me today, but the boys say they had fun, and they were geeked up about it from getting picked up after school until shortly after I fixed cinnamon rolls on the grill. It was fun … next time though, the inflatable air mattress is coming along 🙂
